Those of you who know me, know that I have somewhat of a love/hate relationship when it comes to law enforcement. On the one hand, I do love the adrenalin rush of chasing after a bad-guy and slapping the handcuffs on someone who has just hurt someone or stolen something that someone has worked so very hard to attain. It really makes me feel awesome giving back to my community and helping my neighbors who are in need. --- On the other hand, the realities of everyday police work can definitely take there toll. I detest egotistical alpha males (and females) and this type reigns supreme in this line of work. I have witnessed some who have abused their authority, were downright ignorant, racist, corrupt, and dishonest. But not all of the guys are bad. Some are decent human beings who respect the communities that they serve and do a damn good job of keeping the streets safer. The public definitely under-appreciates the job that cops do and is sometimes quick to paint all cops with a very broad brush. Remember that cops are people too. They come in all colors, shapes, sizes, sexes, and not all of them think the same (as some of you may believe). There are even a few progressives mixed into the ranks...
